Take a star studded set of runway girls ranging from Fran Drescher to Misty Copeland, a few designer red dresses from brands like Reem Acra, Naeem Khan, and Nicole Miller, and a passion for helping women with heart disease, and you've got Macy's Go Red for Women Dress Collection event.

Go Red for Women holds an annual runway show during New York Fashion Week as part of their continued effort to bring awareness to heart disease. An estimated 44 million women in the U.S. are affected by cardiovascular disease. With the help of Macy's, Go Red has raised over 55 million dollars for the American Heart Association's efforts to end heart disease and stroke in women.

The show was hosted by A.J. Calloway, who some might remember as the former host of B.E.T.'s 106 and Park. With a set list of celebrity women, the one who had her biggest shining moment of the night was R&B star Monica who sported a Dennis Basso gown. The singer closed the show with a musical performance, and reminded us of the need to support women with heart disease and bring awareness to these issues.

The event brought together high fashion for a cause to empower women, and it was an impressive night to remember.
