Fashionista just moved into new territory with its very own podcast. As the new medium has become increasingly trendy over the past years, Fashionista has capitalized on this platform.

The new podcast, entitled “4 p.m. at Fashionista,” features the website’s editors to discuss fashion news as well as their unique perspectives. Starting this week, the digital media’s first podcast, “Shoot Us Into Space” follows the month after Fall 2017 collections have just showed for fashion week. As a subtle reference to the Chanel reference, the Fashionista staff gathers in order to gab about fashion, news, and industry insights. Additionally, the podcast will also cover other topics including internet culture and “the mysterious nature of Richard Simmons’s whereabouts.”

The first podcast runs about 51 minutes and 49 seconds featuring editor-in-chief Alyssa Vingan Klein, deputy editor Tyler McCall, senior editor Maura Brannigan. The podcast’s name comes from a critical time-frame at Fashionista where the “best ideas come from,” as revealed in the first podcast. Currently, Fashionista has not disclosed how often these podcasts will occur, but it seems that the new format is an experiment to see how the platform fares.
