Fautso Puglisi will be skipping the runway this season. Instead, he will be debuting his spring/summer 2017 collection with a new format.

“My very first Milan collection in 2011 was shown in tableaux so I could personally talk about my thoughts and design,” said Puglisi to WWD. The designer will be presenting his latest lineup on September 21 at the Derby Theater in Milan. He went on to add, “Pitti Uomo took my heart back to those beginnings and I am challenged to create a concept relevant for today and my new women’s collection.”

Puglisi will be collaborating with Armando Punzo, artistic director of Compagnia della Fortezza, to create an original work to showcase his collection. While the details are still under wraps, it is a combination of a theater piece and a fashion presentation. The collection and presentation is inspired by the designer's time spent between Apulia and Sicily. His collection will also celebrate women's beauty and power
