Follan to open first New York store

Follan is continuing to add to its list of stores with a new location in New York’s west village.

After hosting two-holiday pop-up locations in both SoHo and the Upper East Side, the organic makeup brand is set to take on the Manhattan market permanently.

This year alone, the label has doubled its number of store locations - in cities like Seattle and Dallas. They are slated to open four more stores next year. The New York metro area current accounts for 15 percent of Follan’s online sales.

“There’s a ton of clean beauty here in New York already, so I wasn’t sure from the outset that we needed to be there, but when I looked at the interest, I couldn’t deny it,” Tara Foley, founder and CEO of Follain said in a statement to COOLS.

The shop will offer a range of items from 70 different brands as well as in-house products.

The natural beauty company is part of a growing demand for clean cosmetics. As the publication notes, last year’s Nelson records show 1.3 billion dollars in sales.
