Gucci's Vault links with eight brands for skiwear capsules

Vault has teamed up with eight brands to launch capsule collections for its skiwear assortment, implementing street style into alpine wear.

The collection Vault Altitude, which launched on January 9, features a range of items including ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, jewelry, and home décor. Each piece has been specially designed by the brands to cater to the needs of skiers and snowboarders at all levels.

The eight brands that have collaborated with Vault on the project include Head, Ynig, Moon Boot, The Elder Statesman, Sea, Bleue Burnham, Panconesi, and Gui Rosa. Each brand was chosen due to its commitment to craft and brought its own unique style and expertise to the collections.

The sports brand Head provides performance wear that matches the brand whereas the Swedish brand Ynig creates colorful ski goggles. Moon Boot was selected due to its iconic footwear; The Elder Statesman because of its weaving techniques. Sea is focused on vintage-inspired detailing and technical fabrics. The jewelry designer Bleue Burnham creates cloud-inspired designs like diamonds made from atmospheric carbon, and Panconesi offers products out of neon enamel and Diamanti stones. And finally Gui Rosa creates punk-inspired crocheted accessories.

Gucci is known for its high-end luxury fashion, and the collaboration with other major brands in the industry brings a new level of luxury to skiwear, it said. The brand’s experimental online store, Vault, was created in 2021 to provide vintage pieces, capsule collections, and limited edition pieces.
