After a successful launch in 63 stores in California in June, Guess and I:CO are expanding their recycling program “Resourced” to the rest of the United States. “Resourced” encourages customers to extend the life of their clothing and shoes by providing them with a 15 percent discount if they bring 5 or more used items of clothing and footwear to the store. The initiative is now available in 295 Guess, Guess Factory, G by Guess and Marciano stores across the United States, but the duo intends to make it global by 2020.

“We are proud to be expanding our partnership so more consumers will have an easy way to recycle their unwanted clothing and shoes and further awareness will be generated about creating a more circular future of fashion”, said Kenneth Cheah, I:CO’s USA Chief Executive Officer, in a statement.

The program will also be promoted on Guess’s social media, e-mail list and e-commerce websites.

I:CO is short for I:Collect. The company provides solutions for collecting, reusing and recycling apparel and footwear in more than 60 countries.
