Gwen Stefani teams with Tura for eyewear collection to debut in 2016

Gwen Stefani, known as a musician and fashion designer, just announced that her debut eyewear collection will be launching next year. In early 2016, both her fashion lines L.A.M.B. and GX by Gwen Stefani will feature the new optical collection.

The No Doubt band member signed a multi year agreement with eyewear designer and distributor Tura Inc., according to WWD. “It’s something that I’ve wanted to do forever,” Stefani told the publication. Tura approached Stefani was the “right fit” for the musically inclined designer to create a collection. “We went through and did the edit of the first collection and it was really hard because there were so many good [styles],” Stefani told WWD. The O.C.-bred will dole out 12 optical styles and 12 sunwear styles both of her brands. The designs are reflective of Stefani’s signature, vibrant style. Both diverse and iconically styled to Stefani’s personal taste, L.A.M.B. is known for its eclectic and chic apparel styles while GX by Gwen Stefani focuses primarily on shoe designs. Adding flair to both labels, Stefani’s collection will debut next year. For her luxe label L.A.M.B., the pricing will range from 150 to 250 dollars. Her lower-priced line GX will range in price from 50 to 175 dollars.

The design process was more than pleasant, according to Scott Sennett, president and chief executive officer of Tura Inc. “Gwen’s vision was so clear and distinctive there were no surprises or delays in the process,” Sennett told WWD. Tura is known for its design collaborations in the past with Ted Baker, Lulu Guinness, and more.
