After launching an intimates collection just last year, designer and fashion mogul Heidi Klum is now entering the realm of swimwear. The new debut line is set to open this summer including bathing suits, cover-up pieces, and more.

It comes as no surprise that Klum would continue with clothes designer. After achieving super model status in the fashion industry and switching over to a judge at Project Runway, the celebrity created a name for herself within design. Last year, she proved her talents further with her intimates line with Bendon including various lingerie pieces. Teaming once again with the New Zealand-based manufacturer, Klum has decided to try her hand at swimwear. “Most of my career has been spent rolling around on beaches around the world, and I still love it, so we’ve been working on this for a while,” Klum, creative director for her line, told WWD.

The collection itself features ten 2-piece bathing suits. Ranging in vibrancy of color as well as versatility of patterns, the collection aims to empower women and make them feel confident. Klum states that the hardwiring message of her line is to make sure that women “feel good and not vulnerable,” as reported by WWD. The line will range in price from 70 to 240 dollars and will be available through Bendon. Heidi Klum Intimates is sold in over 2,000 stores globally, so it’s presumable that her swimwear line will follow suit.

Introducing a swimwear line was a natural step for Klum’s fashion brand. Expanding into other categories makes sense since currently Klum’s most prominent brand is her intimates line. “Swimwear has always been a part of the growth strategy for the Heidi Klum brand,” Justin Davis-Rice, Bendon chief executive officer, told the publication. Due to Klum’s experience in modeling as well as fit, pairing with Bendon for swimwear helps bring credibility and exposure to the new collection.

There are no confirmed projected numbers, however as reported by WWD, Klum and Davis-Rice both expect the line to do well. To kick off the collection, Klum already partnered with fashion photographer Rankin to shoot the pieces. The collection is set to be released later in 2016 this summer.
