Hermès comes to downtown Los Angeles

This Thursday, Hermès takes over downtown Los Angeles for its own fashion show. Dubbed Dwntwnmen, the brand’s fashion and entertainment event takes place March 9 in the city’s Arts District.

The show takes place in a warehouse spanning 60,000 square feet. The show will feature the men’s spring 2017 collection as well as some new items. The space holds approximately 900 seated guests and about 300 standing, according to WWD. The event also features an installation that has notable decorations to match the Hermès brand. The show features various custom-built furnishings and art that shows off the company’s artistic vision. Launching tonight, the show will represent a love for the city as well as the brand’s spring collection. Welcomed by warmth, color and an effortless, casual style, we found our heart and soul in L.A.,” Robert Chavez, president and chief executive office of Hermès of Paris, told WWD.

Known as a Paris-based high fashion brand, Hermès is known for its luxury goods, jewelry, and lifestyle accessories. The company currently has approximately 4,667 employees according to Linkedin. Available in various countries, Hermès is known for its French traditionalism and craftsmanship in its merchandise. By moving its show to downtown Los Angeles, the brand show its love for the city as well its cultural influences for its spring collection.
