Legwear specialist Hue has unveiled its most recent guest designer collection for autumn, entitled the Black Designer Collection.

Partnering with Nicole Benefield, Aaron Potts and Marrisa Wilson, the label has released a capsule collection of 14 specially designed sock styles, with each creator designing a range in their own aesthetic.

In its first edition, the programme aims to support the growth of emerging black designers from around the country.

Each sock design, all made in the US, references each designers’ signature. Benefield, a Parsons graduate and previous design consultant at Gap and Ann Taylor, focused on a laid back aesthetic, with socks featuring stirrup, pinstripe and track stripe designs.

Wilson, who boasts a resume with names such as Oscar de la Renta, DKNY and Calvin Klein, offered a vibrant artistic approach to the socks, taking influence from eclectic interior spaces. On the other hand, Potts took a more monochromatic method, with wool blended crew socks in subtle patterns constructed for warmth and comfort.

The socks are currently available at Hue’s official website, with retail prices from 22 to 30 dollars.
