Huf honors late artist Patrick Nagel with new collection

Los Angeles - Visionary American artist Patrick Nagel manifested various illustrations in the artistry world. In an effort to celebrate and honor the late designer, skateboard brand Huf recently just released its limited-edition collection with designs from Nagel.

The contemporary artist primarily focused on women and the female form in his illustrations. Most of Nagel’s graphic design pieces were placed in an Art Deco genre, representing a modern take on femininity. In teaming with street-style brand Huf, the Huf was able to release a collection that highlights Nagel’s legacy. To match the premium skatewear brand, the collection emphasizes an effortlessly cool vibe with graphic prints. The collection consists of bold pop colors throughout the pieces including vibrant red, blue, and yellow. The collection consist of fleece hoodies, skateboards, bomber jackets, accessories, and more. Prices for the iconic, graphic pieces range from 12 to 190 dollars and are available through Huf’s e-commerce site. The street-influenced apparel is also available at Huf Los Angeles and select Huf retailers worldwide.

Nagel was known for illustrations in various high-profile magazines including Rolling Stone, Harper’s Magazine, and more. The American artist was known for its eclectic take on illustrating women to even lead to his designs named suitably as “Nagel women.” The exposure from his work propelled him to work for Mirage Editions, Playboy and rock-band Duran Duran. Nagel passed away in February 1984. He emerged as a contemporary artist embodying the roots of early 20th century graphic design. His latest work is being released through the Huf collection, honoring Nagel’s memory and artistic touch.
