A new fashion brand HUMAN the Collective is breaking gender roles with its label. The streetwear label launched this week from a Kickstarter campaign with gender-neutral clothing.

The preorder launched on Kickstarter earlier this week with the products to arrive this upcoming November. The collection consists of light outerwear pieces including the Demo Jacket, the Chapter Jacket, and the Midnight Bomber. All of the outerwear pieces have designs from local NYC graffiti artists. The Demo Jacket is available for a personalized custom graffiti artwork piece that is designed for specific customers, in partnership with graffiti artist Menace Two.

“We believe in the power of personal style and its capacity to facilitate a deeper connection between who we are and where we’re headed next,” said founder and designer Danielle Mardesich. “It’s an artistic representation of our philosophy on life: Live passionately. Break boundaries. Be provocative. Challenge social norms."

The campaign has a goal of raising 11,500 dollars for manufacturing costs for its fall 2017 collection. For the brand's first full collection, the label will release the line is spring 2018. The collection will be available on humanthecollective.com, as well as for preorder through its Kickstarter currently.
