IMG, the biggest producer of shows at New York Fashion Week, is expanding Focus, a full-service creative and production agency. The news was first reported by WWD.

The goal of Focus is to create original events and bring bespoke brands to life. To that end, clients will be offered access to top fashion events, have access to IMG's roster of top models, and be connected to IMG's creative arm Endeavor.

IMG's vice president of creative and production, Dominic Kaffka, will be leading the new arm of the company along with maintaining his current role and responsibilities. Kaffka is best known to the fashion crowd as the man behind New York Fashion Week: The Shows overseeing creative and event production.

Focus has worked with limited clients for its own properties, but now it's gung-ho about seeking outside business.

“We realize there’s a real opportunity in different markets globally. We thought it made sense to go public about it,” Kaffka said to WWD. “We don’t want to scale it up too fast and too large. It’s really organic growth within the next 12 to 18 months."

Focus grew out of IMG's partnership with Condé Nast International when they began producing their International Luxury Conference. In the past few years they have begun expanding into producing runway shows having produced Prabal Gurung's runway show in Berlin and Bibhu Mohapatra's runway show at Shenzen Fashion Week.

More recently, the company produced the well attended Marvel Black Panther experience at NYFW, along with Jeremy Scott's runway show. In September, Focus is already set to provide technical support for the Alber Elbaz and Le Sportsac collaboration event.
