In pictures: Alpha Industries teams up with Nasa in Apollo-inspired collection

“That’s a small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. Fifty years ago today, about 530 million people around the world watched Neil Armstrong say those words. To celebrate the anniversary of NASA’s Apollo 11 program, American fashion label Alpha Industries is launching a limited-edition collection of sweaters, T-shirts and hoodies inspired by the moon landing.

The pieces include feature woven Apollo patches, high quality prints and the red ‘Remove Before Flight’ tag. Prices range from 29.90 US dollars to 299.90 US dollars.

Nasa’s logo and history are trending in fashion. Vans partnered up with NASA in October for a sneaker collection and Heron Preston released a NASA-inspired line two months prior. T-shirts with the NASA logo can also be found at H&M.
