Reda recently made the decision to incorporate U.S. brands into their newest collections. The Italian-based company will be collaborating with both loose luxury brand Baja East and military-based brand Cadet for their upcoming lines.

The woolen mill chose these two companies due to their following as well as their creativity, as reported by WWD. “Both Baja East and Cadet have a strong fashion following, with a strong presence in the U.S. design scene standing out for their bold, clean, and easily identifiable [style],” Ercole Botto Poala, chief executive officer of Reda, told WWD. Baja East, founded in 2013, is known for their ambisexual approach to casual dressing. Their laid-back, luxe designs produce an overall effortless style. Cadet, founded by Brooklyn-based designers, has a more militant feel including nostalgic American styles. Reda teaming with both Baja East and Cadet serves as the mill branching out into U.S. collaborations, creating a space for more innovative ideas. The partnership will also help both brands also elevate their lines with Reda’s quality of woolen fabric. There is no specific information about the clothing design, however the clothes will be elevated using Reda's high-quality manufactured textiles. The new collections will show at New York Fashion Week on February 3. No specified retailers were named to sell the specific upcoming collections, however both brands sell their merchandise on their corresponding e-commerce sites.

Reda has been established as company for over 150 years. On top of running their own mill, the brand also offers clothing online through their Reda 1865 and Rewoolution brands. The company prides itself on Italian craftsmanship, specializing in technological innovation. The new partnership will allow for new creative ideas for both U.S. brands in the future as well. Raul Arevalo and Brad Schmidt both told WWD that “[the partnership] will enable us to elevate and evolve the Cadet brand and allow Reda to show its capabilities.”
