Los Angeles - Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor have gained reputations in the fashion industry due to their creation of the Juicy Couture brand. After selling the brand off to Liz Clairborne in 2003, Skaist-Levy and Nash-Taylor still remained prominent names in fashion for the legacy they once created. In honoring their impact on fashion, series creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are planning to create a television show based loosely off of the duo’s memoir The Glitter Plan.

The novel, which was released in 2014, details the pair’s journey through finding and expanding the Juicy Couture brand. The story walks the reader through Nash-Taylor’s and Skaist-Levy’s fashion project that was founded starting with only 200 dollars. Actress Mila Kunis decided to team up with The Fake Empire (Schwartz and Savage) in order to create the Juicy Couture-inspired show. The name will be entitled, “Made in L.A.” and will trace the steps of the dynamic duo as they continued forward in the fashion industry. There is no confirmed cast or official date for the onscreen adapation, however Harpers Bazaar reports that the show is expected to air weekly with 30-minute episodes. The show will air on Freeform, which was recently renamed from ABC Family.

"The Glitter Plan" may get its own on-screen adaptation

Savage and Schwartz both have prior experience in launching fashion-heavy series including Gossip Girl and The Carrie Diaries. Gossip Girl was based off of novels that surrounded a group of scandalous teens in the Upper East Side of New York. The show became renown for its characters fashion choices throughout the series. Similarly, Sex and the City became an iconic fashion show in itself, which inspired The Carrie Diaries, a prequel to the main character’s life as a teenager. In teaming with Kunis, the group will bring together a new show based around both Skaist-Levy and Nash-Taylor about how their clothing line rose to prominence in L.A.

Besides television, both Skaist-Levy and Nash-Taylor have also stayed busy with digital marketing and plans for a flagship in 2016. The brand recently expanded their company by moving into digital formats to help bring exposure to their eponymous clothing line, Pam & Gela. This new strategy began in Times Square with a new type of digital campaign involving visual and animation effects. The brand recently entered the e-commerce realm as well, debuting their website in Feburary 2015. Although the pair plans for a flagship by the end of the year, the duo is hoping to rake in some revenue off of their e-commerce site for now.
