The Trendstop trend experts have recently returned from Paris, where they attended three of the most influential trade shows on the industry circuit to pinpoint all the latest trends emerging for the Spring/Summer 2016 season. Coinciding with Paris Men's Fashion Week S/S16, Capsule, Tranoi Homme and MAN collectively showcase a wide range of directional, contemporary products for men, and are renowned worldwide for their well-curated mix of both high-end and emerging international brands. This season saw a focus on practical Eastern fashion and innovative approaches to casual/formal design, complemented by a palette of summer darks. Here, Trendstop reveals a first look at three key trade show trends to update menswear going into S/S16.

Utility styles express Eastern undertones this season. Practical multi-pocket work jackets are executed in durable denim fabrics with button-up fastenings, while pants appear in baggy drop-crotch shapes with elasticised cuffs and waistbands. A palette of muted blues and neutrals runs throughout, enhancing the workwear mood.

Smart wardrobe staples are designed to be worn from cycle to office, as formal menswear looks incorporate sportive twists. Tailored jackets incorporate zipped fronts for a more streamlined look, while crisp white shirts are reworked with pullover shapes. Elsewhere, athletic slip-on shoes combine perforated textures with black stealth leather.

A key colour trend for Spring/Summer 2016, we see apparel and accessories saturated in a rich shade of Navy Ink blue for added depth. Casual staples like T-shirts express a newfound sophistication, as white sole contrasts lend a fresh, sportive feel to sneakers. Tinted lenses update men's sunglasses with a statement look.
