Kohl's certainly is nowhere near as loud as Target and H&M when it comes to public relations for their designer collaborations, but they certainly know how to pick their designers. The discount department store chain has announced that their next collaboraton will be with Thakoon Panichgul, the designer behind luxury namesake label Thakoon.

Panichgul will design a collection of women's wear that will all be priced under 200 dollars. The collection will be London inspired, and will be the seventh collection in Kohl's DesigNation series, which has also included Derek Lam, Elie Saab, and Michelle Smith of Milly. For Kohl's, this collection was all about bringing their customers affordable luxury.

Kohl's is hoping that through these designer collaborations they will be able to re-vamp their fashion offerings, especially in women's apparel, and expand their female clientele base. While the collection is more upscale than what is usually offered at Kohl's, Arthur Lewis, Kohl's head of product development, has assured that they still won't stray too far away from Kohl's "casual essential" aesthetic. Panichgul will be coming to Kohl's already having had experience doing more modestly priced collaborations for Target and Gap in the past.

Though, he's sure to bring something fresh and new to this collaboration, as he always does with his lines for the season as well. Who can go wrong with a man who was once singled out by Vogue's Anna Wintour herself for his incredible designs. It's sure to be a stunning collection that will certainly get Kohl's shoppers through the doors and at the cash register.
