The first Los Angeles fashion week this year emerged this past week starting Monday, Mar. 9 until this last Friday on Mar. 13. Art Hearts Fashion Week, put on by Parker Whitaker productions, hosted many designers every night with a guest list of 1,500 people including L.A. locals enjoying the show as well as potential buyers scoping out the designs. The event took place last week in Hollywood at the Taglyan Cultural Complex.

Throughout the week, many designers showcased various brands including several distinctive collection. Some lines showed off couture gowns, elaborate head pieces, casual wear, denim, and etc. Courtney Allegra, Consort 62, Mister Triple X, Nicole Miller, Beso Moda, and Sue Wong are a couple of the names that displayed collections at the show.

Major trends for the upcoming season included edgy, distinctive trends. For Sue Wong’s collection, the color palette incorporated reds, whites, and blacks in her dramatic, couture gowns. Nicole Miller’s pieces consisted of a spring color palette including matching separates for womenswear. Mister Triple X used black including sheer fabric and graphic prints for both womenswear and menswear.

Art Hearts Fashion, founded by designer Erik Rosete, is still new to putting on fashion weeks as it has been established since 2011. Past designers that have worked with Art Hearts Fashion include Michael Costello, Marco Marco, Zhang JingJing, and more.
