Italian luxury eyewear brand L.G.R has launched a collaboration with iconic fashion photographer Mario Testino to create a collection of sunglasses called The Photographer's Edition. The 500-piece limited edition collection, which is individually numbered, will be sold exclusively at LGRWORLD.com from June 10 to September 8.

The collaboration stems from Testino's and L.G.R's appreciation of capturing clear, rich, and timeless moments. The sunglasses are made with high quality lenses made out of the same mineral glass used in camera lenses. The frames are designed with Testino's lifestyle in mind, because according to him "Protect your eyes, because you never know what you might see next."

The black and dark havana acetate frames are completely handmade in Italy using traditional methods of craftsmanship. The sunglasses feature polarized neophan lenses containing rare materials like neodymium, which selectively filters color in order to maximize contrast and sharpen vision. The inner polarized film eliminates harmful UV rays, making the eyewear ideal for outdoor activity. Other specifications for the sunglasses include 6 layers of anti-reflective interior coating, oleophobic and hydrophobic coating, infrared protection, and an anti-scratch and impact resistant design.

The collection is unisex and is at a price point of 430 dollars. 25 percent of the proceeds will be donated to MATE - Museo Mario Testino, a not-for-profit center based in Lima established by Testino to contribute to Peru through the cultivation and promotion of culture and heritage.
