LA Art Hearts Fashion Week: Day 1

In Hollywood, Art Hearts Fashion Week kicked off on Monday, March 9. Located at the high-class Taglyan Cultural Complex, designers displayed off their newest Fall/Winter 2015 collections. Monday’s lineup included Sue Wong, Beso Moda, MNM Couture, Datari Austin London, and Zhang Jingjing.

Sue Wong showcased her designs with couture gowns and luxurious headpieces. In following with her previous Spring/Summer 2015 “fairies and sirens” theme, Wong exposed her new “mythos and goddesses” collection. Fur boas, extravagant head pieces, and haute gowns made up the collection with a predominantly red, beige, black, and white color palette. Some of the dresses had an sheer aspect to the upper bodice, while others flowed gracefully with embroidered jewels. Each dramatic, elegant look was matched extensively to create Wong’s original vision.

MNM Couture also displayed their brand by showing off elite evening wear. The graceful dresses included bright, vibrant colors as well as neutral black and white colors. Each floor-length gown was accompanied by corresponding accessories. Some of the pieces included nude sections of the dresses, while others included lace or additional extensions of fabric.
