Los Angeles - For the first time, premium denim brand Levi’s is partnering with a sports team for a collection. The San Francisco-based company is teaming with MLB for a collection that celebrates the Los Angeles’ Dodgers.
This is Levi’s first time branching out its apparel into sportswear offerings for the Los Angeles team. Now, catering to MLB fans, the collaboration will include shoppable items that emphasize the SoCal famed baseball team. The collection will include a crewneck sweatshirt, a club coat, and two different styles of trucker jackets. Both the sweater and coat are unisex, while there are two versions of the trucker jacket to cater to both womenswear and menswear. Prices for the sportswear collection range from 78 to 108 dollars. Consisting of three staple pieces, the collection reflects Dodgers colors with a deep sea blue as a major theme. The collection is currently available in-stores as well as through the brand’s e-commerce site.
Venturing into sportswear is the brand’s newest expansion for its brand. The MLB collection proves to show homage to some of baseball’s most popular teams. However, it is a relatively new chapter for the company. The denim company grew prominence to fame in the fashion industry by introducing the iconic American blue jean. Founded by Levi Strauss, the apparel brand has been established since 1853. The company size is currently over 17,000 employees and has approximately 2,800 operating stores internationally.
