Johnson Hartig, the designer behind the colorful and statement-making label Libertine, will be presenting his latest collection for fall 2019 in Los Angeles for the first time. The show will take place April 26 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre according to The Hollywood Reporter.
According to a statement, Hartig shares that he and his team have been feeling a sense of boredom in New York. As a Los Angeles-native, the upcoming presentation will be a homecoming of sorts for the designer.
The brand, which boasts a star-studded list of fans including Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber, will have pieces from its latest iteration of a collaboration with the Jimi Hendrix Estate as part of the show. Most recently, Libertine worked with Authentic Jimi Hendrix to create a limited-edition unisex T-shirt inspired by the late rock musician’s Electric Ladyland album.
Libertine’s journey to the West Coast follows a trail of designers who have recently taken to the Southern California city for fashion show presentations including Rodarte, Rachel Zoe, Tommy Hilfiger and more.
