Made L.A. returns with Opening Ceremony fashion show

Made L.A. is returning this summer with fashion shows as well as incorporating music and culture events. Landing in downtown on June 9 and 10, this year’s show will take place at L.A. Live.

The show kicked off last year for the first time, the event showed off Spring 2017 and Resort 2017 collections including Moschino and Golf Wang. This year, the show will feature a fashion show including cult chic brand Opening Ceremony. Additionally, the event will feature Wiz Khalifa for a live musical performance. The event will also include other independent fashion brands in a section called Shop Small at Made L.A., according to WWD. “From Opening Ceremony and Wiz Khalifa headlining to the burgeoning brands and designers being featured at Shop Small at Made L.A., we’re welcoming a group of unique talent in the fashion and music industry to our stage,” Catherine Bennet, senior vice president and managing director at IMG Fashion told the publication.

Opening Ceremony will showcase its first Los Angeles show at the event. Unveiling its Fall 2017 collection at Made L.A. “Made has always been a great forum for bringing creativity to life, and we’re excited to present our very first fashion show in Los Angeles on their footprint,” founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim told WWD. Khalifa will also additionally show a capsule collection that weekend with a designer who has yet to be named. Known as an infusion of both music and fashion, the show will take place the second weekend of June, with tickets going on sale May 1.
