Mallet has launched a collaboration with London-based multidisciplinary artist Detroit Dyer-Miller, bringing together footwear and apparel under a single release on Thursday. The collection centers on two footwear silhouettes: the Detroit Loafer, named after the artist, and the Clayton Splat, an existing Mallet style reworked in a colorway that draws on Dyer-Miller's own phrase "I bleed purple," which recurs across the collaboration's colors and tone.

Apparel pieces, including graphic tees and long sleeves, carry Dyer-Miller's artwork throughout.

Dyer-Miller is a self-taught artist who began his career in graphic design and cover art, working with musicians including Central Cee, Ice Spice and Trippie Redd, before returning to painting and fine art. According to Mallet, his practice spans identity, morality and the human condition, and resists confinement to a single medium.

Mallet, designed in London and shaped by the city's creative culture, said the partnership reflected a natural fit between the two "worlds." The brand framed the collaboration as an extension of Dyer-Miller's own visual language rather than a licensing of existing artwork, with the artist's "hand" and "vision" running through both the footwear and apparel ranges.

The launch adds to a wider trend of footwear labels partnering with visual artists and cultural figures to extend their reach beyond core sneaker or loafer audiences, often using a single flagship silhouette, in this case the Detroit Loafer, as the collaboration's centerpiece.
