Mara Hoffman, New York-based fashion designer, recently announced her newest launch for her clothing line. Next month, Hoffman will release her first activewear line.

The collection, exclusively cut and sewn in Los Angeles, will incorporate the brand’s vibrant and colorful aesthetic with active lifestyle wear. The athleisure line will include tank tops, cropped leggings, sports bra tops, and more. The materials used for the newly designed collection also includes comfort wear such as one-pieces, rompers, and sweaters. Pieces for the line will range from 55 to 110 dollars in price. The collection will be available at Shopbop, Net-A-Porter, and Bloomingdale’s.

According to WWD, Hoffman’s goal is to create two activewear collections each year. This year, the publication reports that deliveries for these collections will be released in July and August. Known mostly for eclectic swimsuit pieces, Mara Hoffman’s designs have become popular in swimwear. However, the move into activewear is a way to expand the company’s DNA. “The company is growing so much and we’ve always done things cautiously, with great care and strategy,” Hoffman told WWD. Mara Hoffman generates an overall estimated amount of 12 million dollars in wholesale volume currently.

The women’s ready-to-wear and swimwear brand is mostly recognized for its original designs and patterns. Creative director and president Mara Hoffman founded the company in 2000. As a 15-year-old company, the brand currently houses about 11-50 employees. Currently the company is headquartered in New York. The New Yorker herself launched the brand’s first swim collection in 2008 introducing her playful bikinis that reflect the stylish Mara Hoffman aesthetic.
