December 1 marks #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. In honor of giving Tuesday, Marc Fisher LTD, the brand known for their stylish shoes, is giving grants of up to 5000 dollars for women who are supporting causes in their communities in fields such as the arts, education, human rights, health, technology, and philanthropy. In addition to the grants, winners will also receive a pair of the brand's shoes.

For those who know someone who deserves recognition for their volunteerism and community work, they can be nominated at makeyourmarc.marcfisherfootwear.com. These initiatives for #GivingTuesday are all part of Marc Fisher LTD's bigger #MAKEYOURMARC initiative which celebrates women who the company says are making their "marc."

Some of the #MAKEYOURMARC role models include Topaz Page-Green, the founder of the Lunchbox Fund which provides meals to orphans in South Africa, and Angela Walker Patton who founded Girls for a Change.

In a September 2015 article on harpersbazaar.com, Marc Fisher was quoted saying "I want to do more than make beautiful shoes, I want to make a marc." It's fashion, philanthropy, and footwear, three things that Marc Fisher LTD has brought together to celebrate incredible women who have given back to their communities. #GivingTuesday just got a little bit more fashionable thanks to the company's #MAKEYOURMARC initiative.
