Marlies Dekkers just showed a Feminine/Femist movement with her latest collection. Inspired by Edith Head, the designer showed off a Burlesque lingerie show in Los Angeles.

The designer is known for creating storytelling pieces with female icons and empowerment. Through this movement, the newest collection shows off combining aesthetics of Paris and Hollywood fashion. The show displayed fashion reminiscent of the 1930's to 1950's eras. “I want to show the world beauty and taste experienced from a feminine point of view, according to the highest standard of creativity, integrity, quality and innovation, for our products services and concepts," Dekkers stated on the brand's LinkedIn page. Her looks from the latest collection consisted of mostly sets and matching bra tops with undergarments. Prices for Marlies Dekkers ranges approximately up to 229 dollars for a plunge balcony bra.

The brand, founded in 1993, was created as an ode to luxury lingerie. By accentuating women empowerment, the brand developed under the name MD Group, which has headquarters in both The Netherlands and Hong Kong. The brand has become established worldwide with approximately 500 selling points internationally. Currently, Marlies Dekkers has six stand alone stores including Bijenkorf (the Netherlands), Selfridges (London) and Inno (Antwerp/Brussels).
