Fashion moguls Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made the recent decision to forego their normal showing at New York Fashion Week and instead to move onto the Paris schedule.
There are no set specifics on why the Olsens decided to change their fashion show. According to WWD, no details including date, time, location or reason could be learned from a spokesperson of their company. However, the dynamic pair has cancelled their show before in a similar fashion. In 2011, the twins cancelled their New York show and moved to Paris for fashion week. Their reasoning for the change four years ago was because of sample delays. The Row, which has gained reputable standing in New York, is the brand’s most profitable label that will be showing during fashion week.
The Olsens began The Row as a luxury, elevated basics label. Established originally in 2006, the couture label has gained exposure and grown into a successful, lifestyle brand. The classic line offers merchandise ranging approximately from 174 to 10,380 dollars. The brand is manufactured predominantly in the U.S., with the except of select knitwear and accessories made in Italy. Currently, between The Row and the twins’ other fashion lines Olsenboye and Elizabeth and James; the Olsens’ net worth is estimated at 100 million dollars.
