It's no secret that fur was major on the runways at this year's Fall/Winter 2015 NYFW. Fur was in the collections of many top designers (paging Dennis Basso), and of course Michael Kors. His fur collection has never looked so divine, and Kors is really working on improving his fur collections, which will hit stores in a few months. He is taken fur to detailed levels that it never has been before.

Kors helped make fur fresh and hip again with coats shaped and fitted at the waist with fox fur collars. The designer, who some have criticized for being stale and predictable, has found a fresh new niche with something that is making a long awaited comeback. Some of his other fur offerings include a peacoat shaped in navy mink, and a red fox jacket.

He did something with Iris mink that only he could ever do, he gave it an oversized collar and flared back. That sounds like something straight out of the Neiman Marcus Christmas fantasy catalog. Kors was never one for making luxury ordinary, as this fur collection reminded us that the designer always has something up his sleeve.

Kors spent 20 years working with fur having worked with Pologeorgis Furs for that entire time, and he has certainly learned plenty. Th crown gem to this fur offerings would have to be his Barguzin Russian sable coat with a notched collar. For the finest of furs the extravagance had to come along with the details, and no level of glamour was spared for this whole fur collection. Winter is looking mighty fashionable and nice already, and Michael Kors should be thanked for that.
