Michael Kors goes uptown chic for fall campaign

Michael Kors has debuted his fall collection and paid tribute to New York’s uptown region in the line’s promotional campaign.

To showcase the pieces for the upcoming season, Kors enlisted the help of photography duo Inez & Vinoodh to capture the new items in the Michael Kors Collection. The images feature the city as a backdrop with model Binx Walton fronting the shoot, which illustrates laid-back wear in luxury settings.

Among the looks displayed are ready-to-wear apparel and accessories in a variety of prints.

"I wanted to capture the relaxed attitude that is today's answer to jet-set glamour," Kors said in a press release. "The idea was to capture caught-in-the-moment images on the streets of the city. My customers live a fast-paced urban life and Lachlan is great at capturing these moments."

The MICHAEL Michael Kors and Michael Kors Men collections photographed by NY based Lachlan Bailey, and is headlined by models Andreea Diaconu and Baptiste Radufe. The two are shown enjoying the Upper East Side and Central Park.

Among the notable items in the Michael Kors collection is an oversized version of the Bancroft satchel. Retailing for 2,050 US dollars, the crimson piece features camel leopard calf hair. There’s also the 3,995 US dollars crimson tartan wool melton cape. MICHEAL Michael Kors offers a Whitney shoulder bag for 458 US dollars that can be paired with both professional attire evening and day wear.

Kors’ collaboration with the three photographers is significant as it marks his first series of shoots since cutting ties with Mario Testino. Testino had shot the fashion house’s campaigns for over 14 years let following the publication of a New York Times article exposing accusations of sexual assault against Testino, the company announced they would no longer be working with the famed shooter.
