While brands are coming hot off of the retail events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, others like Michael Stars are participating in Giving Tuesday. The American fashion brand announced that it will be partnering with Step Up Women’s Foundation by donating 25 percent of the Michael Stars tee sales.

The brand announced in a statement that its goal is 10,000 USD. These proceeds will provide the Los Angeles-based organization the funds for 300 teens to participate in the Pathways to Professions program, which opens career pathways and opportunities to the Step Up girls.

Since the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year—with its philanthropic organization, The Michael Stars Foundation—Michael Stars has been supporting Step Up’s teen programs to help serve over 2,200 teenage girls in Los Angeles. According to the announcement, “Step Up girls, Step Up donors, and Michael Stars employees continue to unite through mentorship events to empower girls to be confident, college-bound, career-focused and ready to join the next generation of professional women.”
