Milan Fashion Week: Antonio Marras' urban brides and Jil Sander's sobriety

Milan, Italy – Antonio Marras showcased his Sardinian brides in an urban park, while Jil Sander reworked its “uniforms” for the modern working woman on Wednesday, the second day of Milan Fashion Week.

The co-ed spring/summer 2027 collection tells the story of “the day after the night, when we still have our party clothes on and sea salt on our skin,” the designer explained in a statement. “It is a beauty that does not seek perfection; it thrives on the unexpected.”

Following Prada's 100 percent skirt collection and Diesel's post-nightclub silhouettes, models of all ages for Antonio Marras walked on carpets laid over a basketball court opposite his Milan studio, before dancing around a wedding table.

At Jil Sander, Simone Bellotti continued to explore the house's sober and functional foundations in his second year as creative director.

Jackets were structured and grey, with a tailored waist and broad shoulders, yet remained long and comfortable. Alongside a wash of grey, the palette was pastel, featuring beiges, yellows and blues.

“The uniform becomes vulnerable. Vulnerability, in turn, becomes the uniform,” the brand commented on Instagram.

Adding a touch of colour, the brand, which shares a parent company with Diesel, highlighted its new elongated “Kante” shoulder bag on the models.
