The tech company behind a budding startup for fashion industry marketing solutions MindSight Lab has opened an exhibit devoted to sustainable clothing design.

The interactive showcase, which opened in New York’s fashion-centric SoHo neighborhood, highlights the way in which the clothing industry can take measures to be environmentally conscious.

Up Down is divided into three sections, Innovative Approach, Creative Zero Waste and Human, Nature, Fashion, and guides visitors through the process of garment creation and illustrates the methods in which pieces can be created with sustainable methods.

The work of ten fashion innovators will be displayed as part of the display.

“It was very natural for us to think about contributing to sustainability," said Sunny Guo and Leah Li, Co-Founders of Up Down in a press release. "At first, we wanted to open a 'green' retail store but soon realized we can only impress our customers by making it cool and interactive. With art, technology and creativity, sustainability is really cool and stylish."

Opened until October 30, the exhibit is curated by artists and designers from Parsons School of Design, the Fashion Institute of Technology and Columbia University and overseen by MindSight.
