Los Angeles - Moschino just announced this week that it will show its spring show on the West Coast this summer. The Los Angeles show will debut Moschino’s menswear and women’s resort 2018 on June 8.

The show will take place this summer at Hollywood’s Milk Studios. American designer Jeremy Scott, the brand’s creative director, chose to show in Los Angeles, where he currently resides. “As Los Angeles is where I live, to quote Dorothy: ‘There is no place like home!’” he told WWD of the new location.

Moschino to host menswear 2018 show this summer in Los Angeles

The brand’s last show was held in Milan unveiling Moschino’s men’s fall 2017 collection alongside women’s pre-fall 2017. Although a new change of scenery, this isn’t the first time Moschino has unveiled shows in Los Angeles. Previously, the brand has hosted runway shows and events at L.A. Live.

Scott’s choice to move its show to Los Angeles may also serve as a strategic one. As the city has grown as an emerging fashion capital, Los Angeles has started to gain more and more of a reputation for prestigious shows. This spring, Moschino seems to be following in the footsteps of others moving to the West Coast for their fashion shows. Tom Ford, Rachel Zoe, Rebecca Minkoff, and Tommy Hilfiger are all elite designers that opted for Los Angeles this past year to feature their spring 2017 collections.

Announced this past Wednesday, May 10, Moschino newest fashion line will debut this June for 2018 ready-to-wear. The fashion show will take place in Hollywood at Milk Studios, showing off both menswear and womenswear.
