Strictly speaking, Nobieh Talaei (to use the full name of the creator of the Nobieh Talaei label) is already a seasoned professional on the fashion scene, with her first successes as a designer coming all the way back in 2003. Now she is back with her own label and a debut collection that was instantly selected to be showcased at the prestigious Berliner Mode Salon in the Kronprinzenpalais on Unter den Linden.

Born in Iran, Talaei completed a degree at Berlin’s Esmod School of Fashion back in 2003. The organisers of PREMIUM were so impressed by her final year collection that they offered to specially exhibit her work at that year’s show. Following a stint as merchandiser for an international womenswear brand and several retail management positions for a luxury fashion house, Talai decided to take a break from fashion completely to explore the world of interior design.

This year, with a collection released under her own label, she is celebrating both her debut and her comeback, and the designer has drawn from her wealth of experience in the development of her new creations. Conceptual objectivity, stark minimalism but also subtlety-crafted volumes are what define the Spring/Summer 2016 Collection in which Talaei celebrates the theme of the modern nomad. In addition to showcasing her collection at the Berliner Mode Salon, Nobi Talaei will also have her own stand at the PREMIUM high- fashion trade show.

“To be able to showcase my work at PREMIUM once again feels like writing the next chapter to a story which began over ten years ago. Since then I have used my time to gain some experience in the fashion industry and to understand the sector from the fashion houses’ perspective. Over the years I have learnt how to follow and grasp processes and procedures. To be able to present my work here against the magnificent and historical backdrop of the Berliner Mode Salon is a real honour,” said the designer.
