NYDJ launches new campaign spreading body positivity

Denim label NYDJ recently has launched a new campaign for women empowerment. The Los Angeles label selected 12 women for a spring campaign to promote body positivity.

The women were selected from hundreds for a unique campaign to highlight all sizes for women. For the launch, hundreds of women applied and sent in their resumes to be considered, as reported by Apparel News. However, only a select few made the cut to represent women in these diverse sizes. The campaign seems to come right after NYDJ's recent launch of its Curves 360 collection. Similarly to the lookbook, the collection is meant for women of all sizes to show an overall slim fit. On the brand's website, the company features various models to highlight the curve collection, instead of focusing on the normal model of emphasized thin, supermodels.

NYDJ is also known for its plus-size denim offering fits from 14W and above in size. The brand, established in 2003, has been catered to stylish women over the age of 35. In effort to create clothing that are made for mature, modern women, the label originally known as Not Your Daughter's Jeans has moved forward venturing into a wider range of sizes and fits. With plus size emerging in the fashion industry, it'll be interesting to see how NYDJ fares in the future with its forward-thinking campaign.
