Los Angeles – Specialty retailer Nordstrom recently joined forces with modern clothing label Opening Ceremony for a special collaboration. The collection will debut at the Pop-In in Nordstrom’s San Francisco location as well as the label’s Los Angeles store.

In this newest collaboration, New York-based label Opening Ceremony brings its cult-classic chic styles to Nordstrom. The collection includes knit beanies, gloves, bomber jackets, footwear, and graphic hats. The overall collaboration will reflect themes on Opening Ceremony’s pre-spring 2016 collection. Ranging from 50 dollars to 395 dollars, the brand is in harmony with Nordstrom’s typical price points.

In debuting the collection, Opening Ceremony took a different approach rather than the obvious “gift-wear” appropriate products. “When we think of holiday, we think of things you’d want for yourself,” Carol Lim, co-founder of Opening Ceremony, told WWD. Lim and Humberto Leon founded the minimalist, edgy brand in 2011. They decided to use the Pop-In opportunity to showcase their products in a way that seems exclusive. “There’s so much product out there and so many choices, it has to be compelling,” Lim told the publication.

The two founders of Opening Ceremony originated from Berkeley, but switched to the East Coast when they opened their first store. When their collection debuts, it will open at the Pop-In in San Francisco as well as their Los Angeles location. The collection will launch this Friday, November 6. In addition to the California locations, the collection will be available at Nordstrom locations in Seattle, Chicago, Vancouver, Dallas, and more.

The Pop-In at Nordstrom is an ongoing series of themed pop-up shops that showcase different designers. The curated showcase is meant to expose new, emerging brands and bring in innovative clothing labels. The Pop-In idea was brought to Nordstrom by the brainchild of Olivia Kim, director of creative projects. The first Pop-In’s debuted two years ago in mid-October and has continued ever since.
