Known for their iconic denim, the brand Paige has been an emerging, popular label for Los Angeles locals. Adding to their denim apparel, the brand is introducing sweaters into their collection for the first time this year.

The brand so far has gained recognition mostly for its premium denimwear. The idea was to bring sweaters into the line for their Autumn and Winter collection this year in order to make the brand more accessible for every season. “When we started with Paige, I always had in mind to Paige eventually [evolved into] a lifestyle brand,” said Paige Adams-Geller, creative director of the brand. The addition will include sweaters, cardigans, hoodies, and more. The new sweaters addition will be made of alpaca, fleece, and merino. There are pieces that are light in fabric for a more Los Angeles-based climate and there are heavy, wool pieces that are more geared towards cold environments. This makes the sweaters perfect for various cities across the globe. The sweaters were designed with cities like Los Angeles and London in mind.

Paige Denim introduced their first full collection last year for Fall/Winter 2014. The newest line adds garments that have so far not yet been introduced into the Paige brand. The first collection of the brand launched over ten years ago in 2004. Pieces for the branch range in price from around 80 to 498 dollars. Founder Adams-Geller became one of the first female founders of the denim industry. Currently the brand is retailed at stores such as Harvey Nichols, Bergdorf Goodman and Ron Herman.

The brand is also expected to open at the Grove next month. It will be Paige’s third Los Angeles-based boutique.
