Perry Ellis releases Capsule 4

Perry Ellis has released the latest capsule from their 90’s reissue collection, Perry Ellis America Capsule 4. Building on the success of Capsule 3, which marked the first time the ongoing collection was sold at Urban Outfitters, the winter release features 19 new 90’s inspired pieces that have been updated with never-before-seen logos and new colorways.

Capsule 4 features a new parka, two new track suits, long sleeve tees, and select outerwear with reflective detailing. Updated fabrications have also been implemented throughout the capsule alongside a cohesive, modernized color palette comprised of active blue, bright yellow, electric orange and vintage port.

Highlight pieces include a silver anorak with a muted sheen (as seen on Smith from "Sex and the City"), two tracksuits, one in port and one in navy, that feature a new side taping detail, and an all over patch hoodie that combines past and present logos from the original Perry Ellis America collection. Making a return from Capsule 1 of Perry Ellis America is the color block parka previously seen on Justin Bieber, which is now available in a bright blue colorway with white trim detailing.

Brands are still capitalizing on 90's nostalgia as consumers respond to the fashions from what they see as a happier time in America. As millennials are an essential demographic for brands, they continue to try and woo kids of the 90's over with nostalgia from their childhood era. It might almost be 2020, but people haven't stopped missing the 90's.
