Manufacturer of healthcare worker uniforms LifeThreads LLC was recently awarded a three-year group purchasing agreement with healthcare company Premier.

Premier benefits by having approximately 3,900 members from U.S. hospitals and 150,000 other healthcare provider organizations taking advantage of special prices for LifeThread's apparel. The brand's collection consists of unisex and female scrubs, which are engineered with advanced technologies in order to provide unique, functional characteristics. The scrubs provide full fluid-repellency for the garments and are all treated with an EPA-registered antimicrobial active ingredient. "Working with Premier gives us the opportunity to expose and provide our advanced healthcare worker uniforms to more institutions, medical practices and healthcare workers," Tyler Mutz, president of LifeThreads, said in a statement. "Our highly cost-effective scrub collections are helping to meet industry demands for protective fabric-based solutions that enable medical staff and patients to interact in a safer environment."

LifeThreads was founded originally in New York in 2014. The company focuses on infection control as well as management in clinical healthcare to provide workers with advanced, comfortable apparel. The company manufactures and distributes professional medical apparel, patient garments, linens and more that are all treated with an EPA-registered antimicrobial active ingredient to protect the surface of the fabric from harmful pathogens.
