Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler are about to kiss and makeup, in a cosmetics sense that is. The designers are teaming up with Lancôme for a limited-edition cosmetics collection for fall that will be released in July.

The designers, known for taking their design inspiration from the paintings of Carmen Herrera and Ellsworth Kelly, have been given carte blanche for their first makeup collection.

"Lancôme has always represented the epitome of luxury beauty products, so it is like a dream come true to be able to collaborate with such an iconic and historic brand," said McCollough and Hernandez in a statement.

"Borne by the radical approach of Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Proenza Schouler fashion is the manifesto of a strong, free femininity. The idea of 'empowerment' is at the heart of their values, just as it has always been at the heart of the Lancôme philosophy," said Françoise Lehmann, general manager of Lancôme International.

McCollough and Hernandez join an extensive list of designers and brands that have collaborated with Lancôme including Alber Elbaz, Yiqing Yin, Alexandre Vauthier, Jacquemus, Anthony Vaccarello, Sonia Rykiel and Olympia Le-Tan.
