Puma taps Stampd for technical performance collaboration this summer

Los Angeles - Sports brand Puma is continuing its partnership with Los Angeles apparel brand Stampd for a new collaboration this season. Mixing technical fabrics as well as minimal designs, the two brands are introducing a summer collection.

Throughout the new collaboration, there will be both menswear and womenswear incorporating technology with its designs. The new collection will infuse both “contemporary luxury and performance innovation,” according to the Puma website. Coming from the mind of designer Chris Stamp, the new collaboration will include a sophisticated take on his streetwear by working with Puma.

The Puma x Stampd collection includes various pieces that are optimized for performance as well as stylish in construction. The jackpack from the collaboration will have technical aspects of the function of a backpack as well a jacket for an on-the-go essential item. The jacket can be folded away into a “pack,” or used as a protective outerwear. Another key piece includes a short sleeve windbreaker with features a half-zip design, constructed from a light woven technical fabric for optimum activity. Overall, the collection features functional tank tops, sport shorts with breathable fabrics, and wetsuit-inspired track pants all emphasizing tech innovations.

Puma and Stampd collaborate for technical gear

Shoes from the collection include the Puma x Stampd Clyde in two new colorways as well as the Trinomic Woven as well. Ranging in price from 110 to 140 dollars, the shoes rank on a median price of the overall collection. According to the Puma website, the entire collection ranging from shirts to jackets retails from 35 to 210 dollars.

Founded by Chris Stamp in 2011, Stampd has built itself as a West Coast lifestyle brand including progressive apparel and footwear. In teaming with iconic brand Puma, the two have formulated the ultimate technical performance gear. With Puma available in over 120 countries and over 10,000 employees worldwide, Stampd’s collaboration definitely brings more exposure to the L.A. brand.
