Perfectly coinciding with WorldPride and three years after the Pulse nightclub shooting which took LGBT community members and allies, PVH Corp. has announced it is donating 1 million dollars to the OnePulse Foundation that will help finance the construction of the National Pulse Memorial and Museum slated to open in 2022. The National Pulse Memorial will also include the Orlando Health Survivors Walkway.

A portion of the donation funds will also go toward a scholarship in honor of PVH Associate Frank Hernandez, who was a victim of the Pulse shooting. PVH says they will earmark 100,000 dollars to establish a scholarship in his honor. Hernandez was a Calvin Klein store manager in Orlando.

PVH announced this charity cause a day after their "Pride is Power" event in honor of Pride Month. OnePulse board members are set to March in the Pride parade in New York City this Sunday too.

In a statement, Emanuel Chirico, chairman and chief executive officer of PVH, said “In the three years since, our associates around the world have been dedicated to growing our inclusion and diversity initiatives, working to build a workplace and a world where diverse perspectives are accepted and embraced.”

Created by the owners of Pulse, The OnePulse Foundation will support development and maintenance of the memorial, community grants for the survivors and victims families, and endowed scholarships for the 49 people who lost their lives.
