Reebok and Melody Ehsani collaborate for F/W 2015 capsule collection

Known for their iconic sneakers, Reebok Classic is switching up their style a bit with a new collaboration. Teaming up with jewelry designer Melody Ehsani, the traditional footwear is introducing a new style for the brand.

This isn’t the first time the two have collaborated together on sneakers. This time, the dynamic pair are presenting their capsule collection for Fall/Winter 2015. One of the silhouettes is a reinterpretation of the iconic Reebok Classic Leather. It has python print and faded pastel colors for the sneaker, giving it a unique, diversified style. Also, with a touch from Ehsani, the python-inspired shoe had a jewel detail of an “eye” between its laces. The amulet is representative of repelling off negative energy. The message on the top of the sneaker also reads “Just Be Yourself,” which is a signature of designer Ehsani. The Los Angeles-based designer drew inspiration from different perspectives and deeper inner meanings. “While drawing the Classic Leather, I was spending a lot of introspection and struggled to find answers to some of the most important questions of life,” said Ehsani. “The emotions arising from this absence of limits are reflected in the color gradations that I applied to my typical reason python in this shoe.”

The retail price for the shoe is 150 euros. The Classic Melody Ehsani x Reebok Classic Leather silhouette will be available on Reebok’s website as well as in retailers such as Yoox, Par 5, Sneakers76, Urban Jungle, Suite 43 and more. Reebok, headquartered in Massachusetts, is an international shoewear company that specializes in the distribution and design of sports and fitness equipment. Known mostly for their shoes, the brand also provides performance gear and apparel as well. The brand teamed with Melody Ehsani for her recognizable Los Angeles-inspired vision. The two are also known for their recent collaboration of the classic Ventilator as well as their Blacktop Pump silhouettes in May.
