The renown eco-friendly label Reformation just recently teamed up with a Parisian influence to launch a new collaboration. The sustainable label paired with style-icon Jeanne Damas to help design the new collection.
Throughout the year, Reformation typically produces 52 collections. The label is known for pieces that encompass strong chic, bohemian vibes. The collection is inspired by Parisian aesthetic including vintage, effortless pieces. Damas, known for her French roots and retro-style, helped to bring the new collection to life. “For this collection, I wanted to reflect a season-less approach with a 70’s woman in mind, who’s natural and sexy, strolling and dancing in [Arles],” Damas told Harper’s Bazaar. Pieces from the collaboration include an all-denim dress, flared patterned pants, lace-up dresses, crop tops, and button-up bodysuits. The collection ranges in price from 78 to 268 dollars.
The eco-friendly label was founded in 2008 by Yael Aflalo. Reformation currently offers tops, bottoms, outerwear, denim, and more. The lifestyle brand is known for bringing sustainable and local manufacturing to the fashion world. Discovering that most companies associated with the fashion industry waste about 80 percent of their fabric/materials, Aflalo launched the brand with the environment in mind. The brand sources all pieces from re-purposed vintage clothing, rescued dead-stock fabrics, and eco-friendly materials. Using their L.A.-based factory, the clothes ensure quality and environmentally conscious sustainability. With the website profits and bricks-and-mortar stores combined, Reformation generated over 25 million in revenue after its e-launch in 2013. In 2014, the e-commerce site was said to have about 200,000 monthly visitors.
