Rent the Runway partners with Compass Coffee

Rent the Runway is taking brand awareness campaigns to the next level. Just after opening a multi-level experiential flagship in San Francisco, the clothing rental service partnered with coffee a chain on the opposite side of the country to drive brand awareness in a different way.

The rental company teamed with six Compass Coffee stores in Washington D.C. last week to promote its Unlimited membership subscription. Rent the Runway offered customers a free cup of coffee and a small conversation about the perks of its membership. Customers were offered 100 dollars off a 60-day trial of the Unlimited subscription, which typically costs 159 dollars per month.

"Unlimited choices for fashion, unlimited choices at the coffee bar," Rachel Gross, an event producer from RJG Productions who worked with Rent the Runway on the promotion told Retail Dive. "This is a great way to have conversations with us. You can learn about Unlimited in the time it takes to get a cup of coffee."
