At New York Fashion Week: Men's, Robert Geller's DIY immigrant t-shirt, the work of his wife, designer Ana Beatriz Lerario, quickly became the statement maker of his runway show. Of course, everyone wondered where they could get their hands on it. At the time, that was the only one in the world, as it was intended to be a one-off item.

While there has been no shortage of political statements on the runways between men's and women's Fashion Weeks this past season, Geller considers himself apolitical. However, in the wake of Donald Trump's travel ban from several predominantly Muslim countries, he could not help but make a statement.

The t-shirt resulted in a flurry of requests, with people wondering where and when they could get it, with Geller telling W that "I've never had so many requests before for a t-shirt in my life."

Geller decided that this t-shirt had to be sold, and after quick deliberation, he ended up collaborating with Brooklyn screen-printing studio Raygun Printing to recreate the DIY feel of the t-shirt. Today, March 9, the t-shirt debuts for 50 dolars on consignment site Grailed.

Geller, like womenswear designer Prabal Gurung, will have proceeds of his political t-shirts going towards the American Civil Liberties Union. Grailed has also said they will match the donation.

In the wake of Trump's travel ban, the American Civil Liberties Union raised 24 million dollars. He recently signed a new ban which exempt Iraq, and CNN announced this morning that Hawaii will be taking him to court over the ban.

If there is one thing Trump has proven, it's fashion is not afraid to get political during these interesting times.
