Rodarte to show in Los Angeles

After the official New York Fashion Week schedule was released, Rodarte was noticeably absent. However, the brand has announced it will be taking its talents to Los Angeles to debut the fall/winter 2019 collection. Although the brand has yet to confirm a date, its show is expected to happen prior to New York Fashion Week sometime in late January or early February.

"California is one of our most important influences and having our first show in Los Angeles is a dream we've long wished to make reality," said Rodarte co-designer Laura Mulleavy in a statement.

Rodarte has been playing hop scotch with the fashion calendar for some time now. In 2017 the brand decided to drop out of New York Fashion Week and align its collections with the Paris couture calendar. After two seasons of Paris Couture Week the brand decided to present its collection with a lookbook in lieu of a runway show. In September Rodarte made a triumphant but rainy return to New York Fashion Week.

Los Angeles is a perfect venue for Rodarte given it is a favorite for celebrity red carpet dressing.
