Silicon Valley-based apparel company Ruby Ribbon has recently decided to venture out into swimwear this summer. Known for its shapewear fashion, the company is now launching RRSwim incorporating shaping and non-shaping swim fabrics.

The collection includes a curated capsule of designs that provide intricate shaping for its customers. Combining swim fabrics and materials, the swimwear lacks underwire in order to provide a smooth, supportive fit. The collection will range in sizes from 8 to 20 and will come in a variety of colors and prints. "We're excited to respond to our customers' requests for swimwear with Ruby Ribbon's renowned shaping techniques and to offer them an alternative to retail shopping in another category," said Anna Zornosa, CEO and founder of Ruby Ribbon." RRSwim will vary in price from 69 to 139 dollars available through its e-commerce site at rubyribbon.com.

Ruby Ribbon has grown nationwide through independent stylists as a shapewaer and apparel company. The company supports female entrepreneurship by allowing each stylists to run their own business through the brand. Backed by investors Mohr Davidow Partners, DBL Partners, and Trinity Ventures, the lifestyle brand has built its own following of customers. Expanding into swimwear proves as the brand’s next strategic move for the upcoming season. “With summer on the horizon, millions of women have braced themselves for the annual ordeal of swimsuit shopping. We're thrilled to provide them, again, 'a better way,’” Zornosa said in a statement.
